Fitting 6 people in a 5 Seat Range Rover L405

See how DadCars founder Ben, a true car enthusiast and father of four, fits the Multimac 1320 into his Range Rover L405 in his latest video!

It’s no secret that we here at Multimac are all big fans of DadCars; in fact Ben has visited our HQ in Birmingham a number of times. He has even interviewed Kevin, the founder of Multimac, for his YouTube Channel.

Ben has recently posted a new video showing him fitting his four seater Multimac into his new family car, the Range Rover L405, and we just had to share the video! Before we get into the details of why this video is so great, a little bit about Ben…

About Ben

Ben is a huge petrolhead and lives in Hampshire with his wife and four little girls. The DadCars story, as seen on Ben’s website (www.dadcarsevents.co.uk) reads:

“Founded in 2022 I am on a quest to review every cool car from a Dads perspective – can you get child seats in them, can they be used for family adventures? I review cars with my 4 young children.

Are you a car enthusiast who want children one day? Have children already? A Grandad, Uncle or guardian with a cool car, this is the channel for you.

Don’t be put off, share your passion for cars while making memories with your children.”

DadCars and Multimac

We absolutely love Ben’s content, and at Multimac we wholeheartedly agree that being a parent does not mean you have to have a boring car! Being a parent doesn’t have to mean that you put passions and hobbies on hold. It’s all about having experiences and creating memories with your children, and travel is a big part of that; especially for car enthusiasts!

In Ben’s most recent video, he fits his existing Multimac 1320 into his new family car, a Range Rover L405. Ben showcases how easy it is to fit the Multimac; how it streamlines travelling as a family, and explains why the Multimac is needed – even when you’ve bought a big traditional ‘family’ car.

In the Range Rover L405 for example, there are only two sets of IsoFix points, so if you had 3 children, this would be an incredibly tight squeeze; and that’s if you’re even able to make it work at all! With two standard child seats in the outer seats of the car’s backseat, the space left in the middle seat is so minimal that you can’t really fit a third seat, and it would be a very uncomfortable journey for an adult.

If you purchase a 7 seater car, as Ben had and lots of parents do, you’ll soon find that you’re massively compromising on boot space – and don’t get us started on the safety of 7 seaters, and putting a child in the crumple zone of your car.

We love this video and highly recommend it for anyone interested in seeing the Multimac in action with a real family and hearing Ben’s experience with the seat.
